Manufacturing

Food manufacturing are some of the most challenging environments for floors.  They are often wet, cold, and use acidic and caustic cleaners to kill any food-borne bacteria that can be harmful to humans.  These challenging environments often require a urethane cement overlayment, with a full broadcast for slip resistance, and a chemical resistance top coat.

Pharmaceutical Plants

Sanitary and hygienic floors are critical for pharmaceutical plants.  These floors need to be easy to clean, and anti microbial to prevent dangerous pathogens from entering our drugs.  Decorative broadcast floors, with smooth finishes are the most common application.  But depending on the environment, you may also be looking for demarcation lines, aliphatic urethane top coats, or even slip resistant texture.

Slip Resistant Flooring

Broadcast sand, glass beads, aluminum oxide – these are all common aggregates added into epoxy floors for a slip resistant finish.  Washrooms, wet areas, and industrial environments are common locations for these types of floors.  But there is a drawback – too much texture can be difficult to mop clean.  So knowing the customer’s cleaning schedule, and how they clean (mop vs floor scrubber vs pressure washer) will help determine how slip resistant you can make your floors.
